The stats: Al Ahly Falls to Real Madrid in Hard-Fought Match

Madrid, Spain - In a match that saw both teams fight for every inch of the pitch, Real Madrid ultimately came out on top with a 1-4 victory over Al Ahly. Despite a strong effort from the Egyptian side, Real Madrid's superior possession and attacking prowess proved too much to handle.

The stats told the story of the match, with Real Madrid enjoying 62% possession compared to Al Ahly's 38%. Real Madrid dominated the duels, winning 53 to Al Ahly's 52, and their superior attacking play was evident in their 19 shots compared to Al Ahly's 15. 11 of Real Madrid's shots were on target, while Al Ahly could only manage 5. The corners were also in Real Madrid's favour, with 4 to Al Ahly's 8, and they also had fewer offsides, with 3 compared to Al Ahly's 0.

In terms of passing, Real Madrid outdid Al Ahly with 565 successful passes to Al Ahly's 309. However, Al Ahly did manage to recover the ball more frequently, with 58 recoveries compared to Real Madrid's 56. The Real Madrid goalkeeper also made 4 saves, compared to Al Ahly's 7.

Despite the physical nature of the match, the referee handed out only a few warnings. Real Madrid were fouled 6 times, compared to Al Ahly's 9 fouls, and both teams received 1 yellow card. Thankfully, there were no red cards handed out during the match.

In the end, Real Madrid's superior play earned them a well-deserved victory. Al Ahly can hold their heads high, knowing they gave it their all against one of the top teams in the world.
