Xavi's away record as Barca's coach is better than his home record. A look at the numbers

 




Statistics show that Xavi Hernández's FC Barcelona gets better results as a visitor than at home. Since Xavi's arrival, Barca has won 65.2% of the games, the last one last Saturday against Cádiz (0-4). At home the win percentage stands at 52.6%. In La Liga, Xavi has not seen defeat in 17 away matches (12 wins and 5 draws).

Of the 23 games played away from the Camp Nou, Xavi has only lost two: Bayern Munich (3-0) in the 2021-22 Champions League and Athletic Bilbao (3-2, in extra time, when Xavi was forced to bench Dembele) in the 2021-22 Cup.

The Super Cup duel against Real Madrid (2-3) is not counted in this list because it was played at a neutral venue.

Barça, since beating Alavés (0-1) in La Liga on January 23, 2022, has not lost any of the 15 away matches in all competitions. Barca has played 15 away games with a record of 12 wins and 3 draws (Espanyol, Eintracht and Getafe).

In the 23 games played by Xavi's Barça away from the Camp Nou, Barca has converted 49 goals and conceded 24. Only on two occasions did they fail to hit the back of the net: against Bayern and against Getafe.

Tonight at the Allianz Arena will be Barça's fourth in the Champions League with Xavi on the bench. In the three games so far, Xavi has seen a win, a draw and a loss . They recently beat Viktoria Plzen (5-1), drew against Benfica (0-0) at the Camp Nou and lost 3-0 against Bayern.

The home record is worse than away. Xavi's team has played 19 games and has 10 wins, 4 draws (Benfica, Napoli, Galatasaray and Rayo Vallecano) and 5 losses (Betis, Eintracht, Cádiz, Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal). Barca as scored 34 goals and conceded 16.
