Dutchman Danny Makkelie has been appointed to officiate the Bayern-Barcelona Champions League match on Tuesday.

Makkelie, 39, is a professional police officer and will be assisted on the touchline by his compatriots Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries.

The VAR will be looked at by the Dutchman Pol van Boekel assisted by the Polish Tomasz Kwiatkowski.

The Dutch referee officiated the Real Madrid-PSG match at the Bernabéu in last season's competition in which the Spanish team won 3-1.
