Erik Ten Hag takes charge of Manchester United in a European match for the first time as they host Real Sociedad tonight in their opening Europa League group-stage match. United las beat Premier League table-toppers Arsenal to make it four wins in a row.

The last time out in the Europa League after dropping down from the Champions League after a groups stage exit, Man United reached the final of the Europa League in 2021, losing on penalties to Villarreal.
