Did you know Barca haven't beaten Cadiz in 16 years?

Samuel Eto'o vs Cadiz in the 2005/06 season

Barcelona return to La Liga action this weekend when they travel to Andalusia for a meeting with Cádiz on Saturday afternoon. Barça remain unbeaten to start the season, with four straight wins after the disappointing draw against Rayo Vallecano in the league opener.

The last four matches against Cadiz, Barca have been surprised by the results. Two wins for Cadiz and two draws.

The last time the Blaugrana had a result in their favor was when the two teams crossed paths in the 2005/06 season. That season, a Barça side coached by Frank Rijkaard won 1-3 at the Ramon de Carranza thanks to a goal from Ludovic Giuly and a brace from Samuel Eto'o. Leo Messi would play 81 minutes in the game.

In that year's contest at the Camp Nou, Ronaldinho ensured the three points stayed in Catalonia with the only goal in a 1-0 victory.

Both teams then shared the pitch 15 years on from the last time they squared off. Since then, the Blaugrana haven't been able to churn out a favorable result.
