Official Statement: New important reinforcement for RC Celta's defensive line. International defender Óscar Mingueza, 23 years old, joins the exciting celestial sports project for the next four seasons. Mingueza, from FC Barcelona, has played close to fifty games in the First Division in the ranks of the culé team, with whom he has also played 10 Champions League games and 2 Europa League games and with whom he was proclaimed champion of the Copa del King.

The Catalan defender was trained in the lower categories of Barcelona and, in addition to debuting in the absolute Spanish National Team, he won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics with the national team and was also part of the U-21.

Mingueza can occupy several positions on the defensive line with solvency and stands out, in addition to his versatility, for his good handling of the ball, speed and solidity in the brand.

It is the second reinforcement for the sky-blue defense after the arrival of central defender Unai Núñez and the team's fifth in the current transfer market.
